Mystic yellow pearl bumper colors

Hi All,

Noob here. I may be nitpicking but do any of you mystic yellow pearl owners notice that the front and rear bumpers are a little lighter shade of yellow than the rest of the body??

Mine kinda does. I have the LX MT. I'd post pics as soon as I figure out how.

The same goes for many other makes/models in many other colors. The unpainted bumpers are a different material (and color) from the unpainted body so the color doesn't always come out the same, even if the exact same paint/color is used.

I have a mystic pearl EX and I noticed my bumper color difference in different lighting. I have a nose mask on the front so at least I only have to notice the back color difference. It stopped bothering me when I attributed it to the mystic nature of the paint. haha.

The only thing I noticed is that you don't have salt and slush all over your garage floor, oh to be in SoCal.

The plastic has a different color and texture than the metal, so there will be a variation in hue. The only way around it is to have multiple coats of primer which is difficult when the factory paint totals only three coats!

I want the entire body to be made of the same plastic as Little Tykes cars. Those things are indestructible!

Same here, yesterday, a couple of ours were behind our BumbleBee and they said that the bumper look a bit greenish!

There's definitely a greenish tone to the yellow pearl, most likely in the "pearl" flake, itself.
