3rd consumables (air filter, wiper blades

How have Fit owners found 3rd party air filters or wiper blades to be? Any marked compromises compared to Honda brand? Up here, I'd just drop in to the big chain Canadian Tire to get stuff for the former car.

Cheap aftermarket wiper blade assemblies are kind of crappy and the pricier ones are OK. I saved the original Fit blade holders and now I just get Honda refills for them based on someone's suggestion on this forum..

Aftermarket air and cabin filters can be had cheap on Amazon if you have free shipping with Prime. They seem to be fine.

Honda doesn't really make their own blades or filters, any more than other car manufaturers do. Just don't go too cheap.

Oh, and use Rain-X.

I suspected as much. The Honda branded ones are sure to be compatible, though, so this is more a question of whether non-Honda brands have any incompatibilities (or other significant compromises).

Like floormats for example. Only Honda mats will have the anchor and proper fit. Others work, but they bend & bunch up in the wrong places. And without the key feature like an anchor, the worseness quickly gets worse with time. However, they are better in other ways, e.g., the Honda mats don't really have much of depth to keep you pant cuffs away from melted salt slush, whereas the generic ones do.
