2011 Honda Fit Mods: Where to start?

Alright, so I own a 2011 Honda Fit Sport Automatic. I've always been into well-tuned cars, yet I've never really gotten into actually doing it.
I love JDM, so I thought, why not play with my Fit? Adding some new parts and whatnot. So, that what I plan to do, yet I'm here seeking some guidance in what is actually worth doing to it and what I could pass on. Now, I've heard that no matter what parts you throw into it, such as air intakes, exhausts, etc., it won't matter due to the car's computer overriding the system for better fuel economy. Now, I'm unsure if this is true or not. So, I'd like to see what others have done and how they either got around this, or got it to a place where the computer wouldn't override shit.
So, I guess to recap:
1- What is worth adding to my Fit for better hp and torque?
2- Does the pc override the parts(, and if so how can I change that)?
3- Any recommendations?

You have an automatic.

Nothing is going to make it quick...or all that fuel efficient.

Good luck.

I wouldn't worry to much about trying to make your fit fast, i would start with suspension and wheel/tire combos.

Alright, that's what I was sort of planning to do for now. Lower the suspension and then maybe toying around with a few exterior parts then, if I have the time to actually do it, see about the interior. What sort of tires would you say could probably help as far as handling goes?

Sticky tires help.

Many tires are better than OEM as far as grip limits go.

Its all about what you're looking for out of the tire.

Could've been a mistake but you probably want to post this in Fit Engine modifications/ECU/Motorswaps forum and not the Interior modifications forum. Unless you want to juice up your interior for more horsepower and torque.

I would indeed like to juice it up. Like I said, I'm totally new to this, so I'm just looking for guidance through this. Sorry I'm a little scrubby.
