New owner in Little Rock
Hi guys. Im Beau. 30 year old in Little Rock, AR. Just bought a 2016 EX CVT in white today. Been lurking here for a couple months as I decided on a new toy. Finally traded in my wife's crappy 2007 PT Cruiser and my gas guzzling 2004 Dodge Ram that had seen better days. So excited to pick it up Monday morning as they had to have it shipped over from another dealer. They gave me a great 2015 Accord EX as a loaner for the weekend and now my wife is considering trading in our 2007 Odyssey EX for one. I'm enjoying checking out everyone's mods here and getting ideas for what I wanna do to my new ride. Will definitely be calling Cannon Honda in OK for some of the all weather floor mats soon. Gotta thank ROTTBOY for that great tip on the best parts prices. Hopefully I can decide on how I want to lower it for a little nicer stance at the best price and look at upgrading the brake pads to EBC ones when the time comes. I don't plan on making it into a racer as we are expecting our 1st child in the next 2 weeks. Just want something with a little character and a sportier look. I'll probably consider some leather seat covers at tax time or see if I can find seats from a wrecked EX-L if they ever come available. Just wanted to introduce myself and thank the members who have posted such great info here. I'll be around and get some updates posted as I do any mods and just start enjoying the ride.
Thank y'all for the welcome. I definitely got what I wanted with this car. Picked it up today and had to head to work but I got 43 mpg for my 35 miles to work and enjoyed setting up phone and audio settings to my liking. Gotta say the brakes are better than I imagined as I entered a highway turn, I got cut off by a jerk in a Lexus and got to test them out faster than I'd have liked to.
Welcome to the forums. You may want to reconsider the OEM all weather floor mats. Husky and Weather tech are out now. I recall seeing people who regretted getting the OEM ones when they were finally released.
Where are you located? I doubt there is a difference between the '15 and '16. I can't really find a difference in the specs. What trim level did you get?
Thanks. I heard about the Husky mats and am definitely looking at them now. The first thing I'm gonna need is some window tint. Got blinded on my drive to work. Lol
Welcome Beau, I second that thought. I got the OEM mats and really wish I had gone with the Weather Tech or Husky mats instead.
We've had our Fit a year now and love it....we did get the windows tinted a shade darker, it needed it.
I ordered my car from the factory too and optioned in the heavy duty all weather type floor mats (no idea what brand).

Welcome BeauDiddley, enjoy your new ride, and best wishes for the family new-comers! I keep the ABS and ECON modes on for adequate ride and fuel efficiency, but if you want to explore the responsive performance end, try turning them them off; the difference is immediate.
Thank you. I drove the first week with Eco Mode turned on and didn't feel like the car was lethargic. Even managed to reach 44 mpg for a couple drives with an average of 38 mpg for the tank. After a little discussion with a family member who has a Hyundai Veloster and hates how weak their car is on Eco, I drove the last couple days with it off and I wouldn't say it was a totally different car but highway acceleration and throttle response definitely felt better. I tend to be an aggressive driver and enjoy being able to see my mpg as I drive because it reminds me to calm it down a bit. I know this car isn't a racecar but it still feels sportier than any other tiny econbox that I've driven. The only thing sporty about the wife's PT Cruiser that we got rid of was the 5 speed. When it comes time for mods, I'm thinking I'll splurge on the Bisimoto exhaust and a CAI that won't break the bank, some Clazzio Seat Covers (think they will make a custom cover for my baby seat to match?), a mild drop with springs, some fun decals, and a shark fin antenna. I'd love a front splitter but may just use the All-Fit Mid Lip Kit. And of course I finally have a vehicle that I deem worthy of spending some money on over at dipyourcar.com and get me a Plum Crazy Purple wheel kit. Also found some purple carbon fiber wrap for the silver interior trim pieces and a few accents like side mirrors, bottom center of the front bumper and the chrome on the rear hatch and grille.
