ZXE Sylvania Silverstar headlights and Fogs
ZXE Sylvania Silverstar headlights and Fogs
Put some ZXEs in all around. 2015 white Honda Fit EX-L. For your comparison....

Left is the ZXE Silverstar, Right is a regular Silverstar

ZXE has a blue glow from some angles

Regular Silverstar bulb. No blue glow.

Left fog is a ZXE Silverstar, right fog is OEM. Color contrast is more significant in person with the OEM bulb being more yellow.

I read that here too. I’ve had good luck with silverstars back in the day with my Integras. The box says the warranty is 12 months so I just kept the box and reciept. Prior to this I had Philips Xtreme Visions. Those only lasted 8 months.
Ill keep this post updated for when these fail.

I have been running the ZXE Silverstar headlamp bulbs since last March. I like them, but my first set was dimming noticeably by last November (about 11,000 miles). You could see a lot of metal deposited on the inside of the bulb that had burned off the high beam filament. I suspect that using the high beam as a DRL contributes to their short life. At $50/pair, they're too expensive, considering their short life, so I'm looking for an alternative.
I actually bought my first set for $40 with an in-store rebate, and the second set I got on Amazon for $29. At that price, I'd use them and replace them yearly, but I can't seem to find any discounts on them now, so I won't be buying them again.

I can always spot you kids with your cheap HID kits in halogen housings. You're the ones blinding me at night. Be warned; I tend to suffer from "target fixation", meaning I have a tendency to steer directly toward blinding bright lights.;-)
36yo a kid...? love it. As for blinding, i aim mine like with any headlights. Remember 1st/2nd gen TL weren't projectors as well as other makes. But thanks for calling this 36yo (which it clearly states) as a boy (or is it "boi" these days) lol.
Well, I'm 65, so to me, you are a "kid". Aim those HIDs any way you like, you're still blinding oncoming traffic with glare from the mismatch between the light source and the reflector.
I've yet to blind oncoming traffic the 3yrs I've owned this car. It's not like I'm burning 55watt HID BULBS in the car pops. Thx again.
how do u deal with DRL with ur HID kit? i hear DRL will remain off due to low voltage not enough to power on the HID (where as enough to power a halogen)
You pull the DRL fuse.
