RIP to my mugen

I was coming home from a cancelled job on thursday, about 6am. still dark.

Anyway, a garbage truck was backing into the side street, and one of the workers was out directing traffic. naturally i stopped some 75ft away as I waited for the truck to come in.

white camry with an older lady plows into me, no attempt to use brakes, and i got launched into garbage truck.

First impact cause my fat body to break the seat, leaving me looking up at the ceiling as the second impact caused my pre-recall airbag to activate.

Came out with sore knees from hitting the lower dash, bruising from the seatbelt, but more heart broken as this was probably one of the top 3 cars in my life

i posted this on facebook, so some of you may have already seen it.

i miss this thing.

Sorry for your loss.
If you haven't been, make sure you're seen by a Doctor.
My '12 Milano Red Fit absorbed a massive amount of impact energy to the point I didn't realize I was injured until about 3 or 4 days later when my back wouldn't work.
As much as it sucks, the car is replaceable, your health isn't.

Wow, thats a solid hit, looks like that cabin held up well. Scary about the seat breaking.

Happy to know you are ok.
You'll get a new car, this issue is solved quickly.

Man, I was heartbroken looking at those photos. I've had my car for six years. I'll be devastated if it gets wrecked.

What are your car plans now? Replace with the same model? Get a 3rd gen Fit? Something else?

insurance gave me about half the value of the car cause mugen isnt in their drop down menu. its frustrating, but i have to move on for now cause i need the car for work.

currently, i picked up an 06 impreza wagon, but should honda decide to release another mugen fit in the future, i will buy it. dont care if im old and gray, it will be mine again
