Seized caliper bleed screw/new calipers
Seized caliper bleed screw/new calipers
My bleed screws are seized pretty bad and there is the possibility I will break one when doing my brake service this summer.
If I break the bleed screw in the caliper and can't extract it. I'll probably have to buy a new caliper. The honda calipers are crazy expensive. I think more than 400$ in canada. Any other options? I don't mind a quality aftermarket part however I'm not looking for anything like a big brake mod. I want something readily compatible.
Thanks for your suggestions. I have a 2007 sport manual.

I know the technique is supposed to be to heat the surrounding area but I might try to heat and the cool the bleed screw itself to try and break some of that rust. I might also buy some ATF and make a 50/50 mix with acetone because I've heard that works even better than PB blaster which I find is only average.
I've seen the red power stop calipers are about 50$. I might get some of those if all else fails.
