canyon runs

Anyone on here take their fits out on some of the winding canyon roads in the north valley yet? I recommend the road to Bartlett lake. 12miles lots of curves and up and down hills. Ive run into several groups of cars that go out there late at night and drift the road. Ive had to cut a guy out of a 350Z that launched his car 200ft down a ravine. (I work for the Fire Department in Carefree). good road in good condition. recommend driving it slow before you blast on it.
Directions: take scottsdale rd. north from the 101 until it ends bout 18 miles north. road ends into cavecreek rd. make a right at the shell station take cave creek road out to bartlett damn road approx. 8 miles hang a right. cant miss the sign for the lake. start the run and enjoy.

if anyone else has some good recommendations let me know always enjoy a good run.

thats why i specified drive it slower the first time. the ravines would eat most cars. a fit well that would just disappear!

Haha, yep... I was just messing around. Mostly, I just wanted to post in the AZ forum since this place is like a ghost town. I'm convinced that it's because you have to scroll five miles down the page to get to the regionals. Or maybe the Fit scene here just isn't all that... I'd love to get together to meet some other owners.

Haha... yeah, I've gone to more Subaru meets w/ my Fit than Honda ones (none). I know the Fits are out there, because I see people from Phoenix posting. The Fit subforums on other Honda boards (like SHO) are completely dead, too. Something's wrong if I need to drive back home to SoCal for a Fit meet.

On the flipside, it's kinda cool that Fits aren't too common around these parts. I'll see them in bursts (like 2 a day for a week straight), and then nothing for a month. My coworker here has an SSM Sport, but he bought it for the better mileage, too (he commutes in to the Biltmore area from Queen Creek... ouch!).

There's a meet that's mostly Subarus and Evos that gathers at the Marina by ASU every Saturday around 6-7 (they then head to Pavs). I used to go to it with my WRX, and some of the regulars there drive Hondas, so I'm pretty sure it's all good if some Fits show up. Same with the Thursday night meet in Glendale by the stadium/AMC (same time, and then they head to the bars).

I'd be curious to know if there are any Fits that show up. If not, we could be the first. I really don't want to go until I get my wheel/suspension setup. Looks stock on the outside besides the visors, tint, and exhaust.
