From Chevy to VW to a...Fit

Well, I'm introducing myself to the Tucson, AZ community. I have never owned a Honda before, but decided to give the Honda Fit a try since me and my wife have heard nothing but good things about it.

I actually used to own several different cars, from Mitsubishi to a Camaro to a VW GTI, to the current 2009 Fit Sport. Loving it so far because it just feels...right. Simple as that. It's nice to have the peace of mind of owning a Honda which is basically one of the top (if not THE top) cars within it's class of compacts.

Welcome to the Fit family! How do you like the Fit compared to the GTI? I like the look of the GTI and considered it at one point, but shied away cause my friend who's studying automotive engineering told me VWs were notorious for being high maintenance.
