Australian Honda Jazz members

Hi all,

I wanted to start a thread here for all the Australian Honda Jazz/Fit members. If you are like me and have tried to get parts from the states and realized the postage costs are pretty high then this might also be a way to organize group buys so we all save some money on the postage by ordering together.

Hey,

Yes i have been also looking at these as well. I'm pretty keen to get a T1R muffler but it seems shipping is pretty high.

Let me know if you are getting some of the JDP bits and pieces. I might go in with you to save shipping.

Ps where are you based.. I'm in Brisbane

Sam

Hi all, I am new to this forum - I hope I am posting in the correct section.

I know there is an issue overseas (that has a resolution) for the fuel economy gauge in that the "Information Display Shows Higher MPG Than Actual". This is the subject of a Technical Service Bulletin in the US (see 2009 Honda Fit MPG TSB 09-086)

I have been banging my head against a brick wall with the dealer in Sydney about the FIFTEEN percent error between the displayed (on the dash information display) and calculated figure that I have been obtaining for litres used per 100 kilometres.

Despite sending the TSB-09-086 to them, they refuse to do anything about it. I know its from the US

I met with the NSW technical Specialist who (after 30 minutes) finally gave me a straight answer to the question of "Over what distance is the average fuel consumption figure measured?" The answer was since the time the trip meter is reset.

They did not (or would not) answer how the number of litres is measured that is used over that distance.

The Technical Service Bulletin shows that "The information display shows the fuel mileage to be 10 to 15 percent higher than the customer’s actual
calculated mileage."

The Probable cause section states "The PGM-FI software bases its calculations on an incorrect dataset".

The resolution is "update the PGM-FI software with the HDS"

I am adamant that the Jazz is the same in that it bases its calcs on an incorrect data set.

Has anyone else tried to verify their actual fuel consumption figure and compared it with what is displayed on the in dash display?

I am going to pay for an interrogation of the software versions on my Jazz by a mechanic

I will find out the

HDS Software Version
The Control Module Application Version and the
The Control Module Database date

Please if anyone has any experience of the inaccurate gauge could you please reply to this?

I have a MASSIVE list of other things that were WRONG from the start with this car including that it leaked Oil from the first day but that's another story

Ahhhh! whos from perth! such a small city, no one has a jazz that theyd like to mod in perth ... so sad. BTW! yes, usually when it comes to bumpers or engine parts, if it must come from the US or JAPAN then there's no avoiding the shipping cost. ItS MASSIVE. But at least this site helps us abit check it out JDMconcept.com.au haha, so where y'all from?

Hey guys, new member from Melbourne..
I was just wondering if anyone can help me regarding with suspension!?

I recently got a new Honda Jazz VibeS 2013 for me and my wife, but would really want to get new lowered suspensions for it. Im not looking to track the car basically just a daily driven car.
I've heard that there is two different model for this Jazz ( made in thailand and japan )
i believe mine is from Japan.
Now Looking at Ebay Tein S-Tech and Tanabe's but not really sure if this will fit my jazz.
can anyone confirm this plss. I've tried asking the sellers but even they are not sure if its compatible with mine..
thanx heaps for the help.

Hi All

Doesn't look like much activity in this thread, but yes I'm from Sydney. In general seems to be a lack of parts for the GE compared to the GD, especially more so if you are outside of the US.

Any Sydney members on here with contacts for parts?

There's probably a very good reason for that. The jazz is not a popular tuning platform here and its hard to blame any vendors for not extending their support either.

If you are looking for after market parts, you can source most bolt-ons relatively easily albeit at a higher price (as I have found). IMHO not worth the $$$, could be better spent on maintenance or put towards a "Next Car fund".

Unfortunately I have to agree with you. Stuff here usually cost an arm if not a leg. oh well, more funds to the weekend warrior then!
