I'd still like to try Mt. Madonna, but Diablo or Hamilton is always fine with me. I'm not sure where the San Luis Reservoir is, but I'm always interested in taking my Fit somewhere interesting, and meeting up with some fellow Fit owners. If there's a nice twisty drive, so much the better!!

Ill be heading to MT Diablo this weekend once more.
Ill take pics of the location in mind this time, and also speak with some park rangers about reservations. I dont mind putting down 200$ of my money, as long as i get it back.
Start tossing some dates around. First off, what month should we shoot for?
Dave, i know your very good at planning these things. All the meets you have planned from what ive seen have been A+. Your advice would be greatly appreciated

Just to throw this out there, but do any of you know of Marina Park in San Leandro? There is a nice picnic area that is completely separate from the rest of the park with lots of parking and bbq grills. I used to do a lot of meets there when I was with the MR2 group. We used to have a lunch/meet there around 12 or 1, and for the more adventureous types, they would organize a drive through the mountains on the way there or could go straight to the meet. Just a thought

I remember going to the MR2 meets in san leandro with my cousin in his '91 MR2 Turboed. I remember seeing an AE86 with 3SGTE swap. The MR2 meets are pretty crazy.
the San Leandro location is a nice place with plenty of parking, BBQ pits, and tables, but if you cant get a pit then i suggest bring your own grill and tables.

Friends are welcome.
Kinda depends on how may Fits we have coming and what are parking situation is looking like. Limited parking could make it kinda tough. We'll see.

I'm down. The marina is a cool spot. Easy to park a lot of cars and BBQ. Another good spot is lake Elizabeth in Fremont.

It's a no-cal meet. Mt diablo is by mt Hamilton, it's a 30 minute drive from Hayward. Not to bad. Great road though. Really a lot of no-cal flakes huh! Must be the one on craigslist flakes. LOL.

We should get a list together.

Aight, well I am about an Hour north of SF. I know some great spots up here, and they are free, and have cool view, and twisty coast routes people can take.
This is Lake Sonoma at the Overlook. Nothin but nice twisty roads out to HWY1 if you want, or 15 minutes off the freeway if you just wanna meet, eat, and check out cars. Plus they have picnic tables, an overlook of a nice lake, and BBQ areas and stuff they don't charge for.
And if you hit up the ranger station, they have group camp/picnic areas down by the fish hatcheries, with more day use areas.
They also have a seperate area back in the warm springs side that the water is way warm, there is a swimming/day use area people can drop in kayaks and shit if they want. Great Place to spend a day BBQn ribs n tri tip.
see where it says yorty creek? theres a mini boat ramp and "dedicated swim area"
just a suggestion for multi-use meet. And weather is almost always 75-95 degrees at the lake.
Also, Skaggs Springs is the #1 backroad twisty location for motorcycles in NorCal. It is just sweeper after sweeper and then it gets SUPER-windy
