I actually did a drive-by last Sat with the wife...

Here are a couple maps showing a pretty good location on Treasure Island for our meet/BBQ!





So to get there you take the Treasure Island exit off the Bridge,
down to the gate, and then just follow Avenue of the Palms Dr. down to 9th St

On the corner is a big park(see the Trees lining the grass along the water!?), and a couple of gigantic parking lots (2nd pic/Red&white arrow).

Notice, the picnic tables (2) there!
Only drawbacks are :
can be windy!
Goose poop on the lawn (not too bad)
no shade, could use a canopy if anyone has it?
I know Ritchie brought one to the last meet,
but since he is traveling, not this time.

As for a time, if we want good pics, we need to get there before noon!
or wait til nighttime ! (someone had a GREAT pic from this exact location at night on the forum
that I saw the other day, but of course could not find it again for this post )
As you can see from my car pic above, the sun totally washed it out

me and mapook had spoken about that spot and he was going to recon it, it looks good to me and if anyone has any other suggestions let me know or just flat out post up.

as for times... i have not thought about that very well because im not sure what will be a good time. for sure we need a set time to be at the bbq spot so the people coming from south bay can meet up and caravan to sf.

for south bay people i was thinking we should meet up at mcdonalds in mccarthy ranch in milpitas, and from there hit 237 -> 101 and the i forget the other junction buts its easy to bay bridge where we exit treasure island.

so whats a good time to meet in sf? sf people should super chime in since its you're area.

 

My work schedule is looking better and better for the 25th! Instead of a 50% chance, it's looking more like 75% now.
What no "burnouts?" Geez, I didn't even know my Fit could do that!
