SoOo.. coming from the moto scene (was bike only for years until my recent Fit purchase), I'm new to this whole car thing.

Does anyone organize weekday evening drive-and-dinner meets? Yeah hotimportnightswithhotbikinicladchicksonflyers is cool and such, but I'd like to dip my toes in and just meet fellow Fit drivers around the area.

Let's say a Tuesday/Thursday night after work, do a quick drive up 9, stop at four corners for some photo ops and chit chat, then down 9 to Jake's pizza for dinner. Would anyone be interested?

I think if there's more activity in the Bay forums, more people would come out. But hell, saying that...I think people just have better things to do, lol.

I'd be down with meeting up, not all the time like the OP suggested. It is a bit of a drive from the 510/925 area.

I never suggested all the time, 'twas just a generalization more directed to a weekday evening after work kinda thing.

 

Me and tfbdesignd Tim have been going to different car meets like cars n Bob a and the big stoneridge meet and we are the only fits I've seen. I'd be down for a fit meet n greet and I'm sure Tim would go too, maybe even kenmei. I'm not familiar with the area you described but I'm in San Jose

Highway 9 basically starts in downtown Saratoga, and is a nice twisty drive up to 4 corners, where 9 and 35 meet. There is a little parking lot up there, were we could stage and chat before heading down to Jake's Pizza, which is here.

This is just a suggestion (going off previous moto-meet knowledge), but I'm open to any other ideas for a drive and grub .

As for that event you posted, nice! I live really close by, but it's a little late .

 

The idea of heading down 880 or 680 during commute hour makes my MPG cringe, stupid commute traffic. I work in Fremont, so that's where I'd be coming from for a weeknight meet.

I don't know of anything up this way that would be a fun drive, nor do I know what the commute traffic is like coming UP from the SJ area that time of night.

I am watching this thread and if I can swing it, I will certainly poke my nose in.

 

Hope to see some of you tomorrow. I know its kinda late but its only one night of a couple lost hours of sleep, you can make that up when you die right? I'll try to get there around 830 so in case some early birds get there and have to leave early

Holy Flying Spaghetti man, I'd have to be *out the door* by 8am on a *Saturday* to be able to join you people. Hayward's just too far for a Saturday morning meet that far south. I'm usually out 'til 12:30 to 1am on Friday nights, and you don't want to meet me on a short night's sleep. It ain't pretty.
