Any of you guys got some advice on where to live? Budget's around 2k. Work will be in Redwood Shores. My girlfriend and I are trying to find something and there's such huge variation in areas in terms of sketchiness.

I had an old roommate from Fremont and he tells me part of the city is nice and the other half is questionable. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

 

anywhere in that area will yield great weather, I hope that 2k budget will be enough, as I know some of those houses can get super pricey. Your friend is right too, most of the areas are real nice though there are a few questionable areas as well, i.e. East Palo Alto..

 

I heard about East Palo Alto. So we're going to avoid that for sure. Milipitas cause we hear that stinks =X

Would you consider the East Bay?

 

We're considering it but I have a couple of interviews in the city/novato area, gf's the one that's going to be in Redwood Shores. We're probably going to have to find something closer to the SF if anything.
