Hey guys, figured this is the best place to ask. I'm waiting on my fit and I'd like to start looking into aftermarket intakes/exhausts/headers and other such goodies. My question is what about smog emission testing? I had a Titan that I put NISMO headers & NISMO intake, but would cost me $3k in parts and labor to make smog legal again. Are there any existing aftermarket products that provide a significant gain while still being California legal?

 

some intakes are CARB legal. all catbacks don't have CARB ratings but has nothing to do with smog. Not sure if there's any header that's carb legal yet.

how did you get $3000 to make it smog legal?

for OEM parts & labor to remove the NISMO headers & intake and put the OEM back together again. Because it was bought like that I didn't have the original parts. I was quoted somewhere around $2800 for the headers and exhaust removal & OEM reassembly by the dealership I worked at. It doesn't really matter because I no longer have the truck. That titan sure was nice on a 6" lift.
