**tw** All Cali Meet
**tw** All Cali Meet
ok so the NorCal guys hit me up about possibly setting up a meet for EVERYONE. I just wanted to get a feel of who would be interested to see if it is even worth setting it up. Looking at maybe this next summer, and most likely meet somewhere in central Cali. maybe pismo beach. Anywhoo if you would be interested we can start looking into this further.
hhhmmmmm, might be interested if I'm in the cuntry at the time. I wouldn't mind driving up to 5 hours for a meet if it's good. That would be cool to be in a big as Fit Meet.
But unlike me there are people that think driving 20 minutes is too far for a meet.
Let's do this!

Speaking for some (not all) of the SF Bay Area people who have attended the last 3 meets, depending on the day(s) and meet site, most of us would also drive 5 hours for a BIG meet.
Just as with SoCal, NorCal is a very spread out territory. A 5 hour drive South for me would be 11 hours for one of our members, and 8 hours for anyone in the Sacramento area.
Point being that, no matter where it is held, a big meet will be too far for many members. And any more than 10-15 cars will probably require prior arrangements/reservations and/or fees for any CA parks or beaches.
If necessary, I would be willing to drive as far South as Paso Robles to scout out some sites. I think that there would be more large meet sites, that would cost less and be less crowded, a little more inland than there would be right on the coast.
Thanks for the post Chris- let's see what develops.

i think that alot of members would do the drive if the meet is going to be big, but like some of you said other people might not want to drive all those hours. as for me i'm up for meeting up with Nor-Cal, but it just depends where tho. the farthest i would drive for a meet would be san diego or maybe even las vegas. hmm.... las vegas meet sounds like fun. maybe we can get a meet going up there.
since its kind of a ways away im sure we can pull 50 fits to roll.
De los automoviles poquitos!
im all in for it.
looking at a map, from san diego to bakersfield is about 6 hr drive. close to 400 miles.
and from san jose to bakersfied is only 3 1/2 hr drive. i did not look from sac town though.
from downtown san diego to downtown sacramento its 700 miles. so if yall want to find a spot in between that would be cool.
i would say santa barbara/san luis obispo would be the middle for everyone. i mean im coming from south san diego.
i would be willing to drive within reason and stay over night to go home the next day.

I did this before with a different forum when i had my old car. We drove to El Grande National Park (???) and hang out there for a whole day, BBQ/ Photoshoots, play with fire and then headed down to the beach near by to piss off all the short-wearing beach cops.
Wat i'm trying to say is, El Grande will ask you to deposit a fee ($100) but they DID NOT asked for it when we entered the premise, so don't pay until you know.
Also, last time we drove north, we started too late so everyone was stuck on the freeway for 2+ hours due to traffic. So head out early and head home late.
Bring some bug spray.

I think that one may be difficult. I know its really hard to set something up like this with Honda. They had been trying to get that S2K meet going for years. I will shoot him a PM tho.
