Look whats coming out:
When everyone was going hybrid, taking baby-steps toward an alternative-fueled future, Mercedes jumped into its prototype Hydrogen-powered machines and buzzed off toward the horizon. Now, perhaps realizing that it moved a bit too quickly for the distribution infrastructure to keep up, the company seems to be pulling back a bit, introducing the BlueZERO line of autos that all share the same shell -- pictured above looking good at its most flattering angle, but not so hot after the break. The series will encompass three cars: the fully-electric E-CELL (possibly featuring Tesla batteries), with a 120 mile range; the hydrogen-powered F-CELL, with a 248 mile range; and the hybrid E-CELL PLUS that, like the Volt, will carry a gasoline engine to recharge the batteries and provide up to 370 miles of non-stop motoring (10 more than Chevy's offering). The trio are set to release in 2010, which should be a historic year for the auto industry... assuming we still have an auto industry in 2010.

whatever happend with the bmw 7-series hydrogen car? it came out a few years ago to much media attention. i believe it was leased to a select few (read: celebrities and other high-profile people). havent heard much of it since.
i remember going to a friend's bday dinner and just happened to sit next to some graduate student studying mechanical engineering with emphasis on autos or something similar and talking to him about it. he was completely blown away i knew all this stuff, and in much more detail than the average schmoe.. but to me it was just recent news items in the auto mags and stuff.

I got mine from Honda last year. Gave one of them to my girlfriend for her Fit, one for my car and one other one to a friend. Mail a letter to Honda, I'm sure you can get one.

snow season is fully upon us. any of you foolios have a thule or yakima or other roof rack? i'd like to see them in person, how they attach, etc. i've never owned a roof rack before but have seen some crappy "universal fit" racks.

WOOO!!! i just got done skim boarding on the grass at my park...haha its the best. 4 guys with wetsuits and skim boards tearing it up at the park! haha some people drove by stopped and watched us. it was intense! so many hills at my park so its fun lol now i gotta re-wax my board...lol oh well
