have you tried a temp agency? they're ALWAYS sending me work. it's funny because anything in advertising or publication is doing so poorly in this economy, yet i get 2-5 job offers a week.

+1... i looked for a job for 6 months after i graduated.. didnt find shit... signed up at a temp agency, they got me a job within a month...

i forget who here is into photography (charree? ockc? i dunno.. i blame the drugs).
anyway, i sold off all of my lenses.
new plan:
- 35mm f/1.8 (just announced, not yet released)
- 85mm f/1.4
and maybe something wider, like a 20mm? i decided to not get the 17-55mm f/2.8 so i can ge thta 85mm f/1.4. figure a combination of prime lenses will cover most of what the 17-55mm would've done. perhaps a 50mm f/1.4, but the 85mm might be more than enough.
when i get a dog, i'll probably need a 17-55mm to keep up. but right now, i like to shoot people and cars, so i think prime lenses will do the job for me.
thoughts? input?

Anyways, I would recommend having a standard zoom lens handy aound the kit 1-55, b/c you may learn that 35mm and 85mm may not cover the range you need and for cars shot...you need something wide like 12-24 or a primes like the 20mm but you will carry around a lot lens and be switching them a lot and mean more dust on the senors... post question on the show me your camera gear...there is a few of us with great knowledge and that can input there thought too!
Yea like my couisn graduated with Aerospace engineering and still looking for work for the last 5 months.
