Damnit! We spend all that time protesting the Toll Roads to not get into the natural side of our beaches, fields, and whatnot and then the kicker comes in, a effin' sewage spill hitting the areas that we're trying to protect. It's like why bother trying to protect the earth? Commercial modern things like factories are going to win anyway, when it comes to ruining Mother Earth.

Sewage spill is preventable and toll road is permanent...and just to let you know South County had been replacing old sewage pipe and how the infrastructure of South County is complex, so take awhile to replace all the pipes and how it was design back then...Why bother to protect the earth.... what kind of question is that! if we didn't do anything to protect the earth you wouldn't be living right now or enjoy your lifestyle. If we don't protect our resource like air, water, and land...life wouldn't probably be like what it you see now. I have work, research, help, teach, and live in third world nation in Southeast Asia for sometime and see the environment problem they face on daily base and what they have to do to just get clean water and compare to us where we have government agencies and organization to provide us that service and help and as the end user we just turn on the faucets and clean water come out...

I said it's LIKE 'why bother protect the earth'. I do my part in trying to make our world last a little bit longer than other people do, who disregard the fact that sometime in the future, if nobody ever stops to do something, that we'll be living in a wasteland. I know it's not going to happen in the immediate future.

I'm not fighting you on it, it was a speculative question.

I've been in various parts of the world as well, where the government concentrates on getting the world to be in a better space and they actually do something about it. There's no speculation, there's no "okay, well if you care about it, do something about it" - it's a mandatory 'law' that citizens of this place DO something about it.

What I was saying was that we do so much to protect our earth, YET, on this particular issue (Major sewage spill could keep O.C. beaches closed through the weekend - latimes.com), a sewage spill occurs. I don't know much about how they're upgrading or fixing their sewage pipes - but if the sewage spill occurred WHEN they were fixing a sewage pipe, then I wouldn't have said anything more on 'dear god'. However, they say:

An underground sewage main in Rancho Santa Margarita ruptured Tuesday afternoon, sending an estimated 500,000 gallons of raw sewage gushing into a creek that empties into the ocean at Doheny State Beach in Dana Point, officials said Thursday.
Which would lead me to believe that this is a very old pipe that desperately needs a new one, one that isn't crusted with time. They even say in the article that there was a break that crushed the safety levels of the water there back in 2008. Why didn't they just replace it then?

Wow that fucking sucks. Im sure the horrible economy makes just about any company double and triple think new products. Companies not just nose diving in to possible losses like the past. Sucks everyone everywhere is cutting back.

Oh! I just got my recall notice for the power window switch today, so all you GD owners be on the lookout!

Also, has anyone taken it in yet?! The lady on the phone said it would take about half a day and I wanted to make sure that was accurate :/

Got mine today to.
I'm sure it doesn't take half a day. The repair just isn't priority since they not making money on us. Most likely our Fits sit until they free or feel like doing it.
