Help Installing Springs - Willing To Pay

I've a set of Tanabe springs that I need to install.
Prefer not to have a shop do it cause I can't see them working on my ride.
I only have hand tools and no air compressor.
If someone local is willing to help I'm willing to pay you for the labor.
I'm located in the Southbay area (Hawthorne,Torrance,Redondo,etc.).

both of yall can read a diy.

honestly the only problem i think yall are going to have are the fronts. the rears are piece of cake.

and the fronts are super easy. you just take off minimal things and your suspension pops out.

good time for both of yall to learn and do it.

I'm going to try doing mines tomorrow (sunday) and get alignment on Monday. Wish me luck! Also, after reading the DIY thread, then jack up your car and look at how everything was put together. Then you'll have an idea of how to do it. Honda really made the suspension simple to change on the Fit. They didn't do anything fancy at all with the suspension and kept it simple. Also, remember that alignment is very important after lowering unless you don't care about your tires.

yea, its pretty fun learning by yourself. I had a jeep grand cherokee before and i had zero knowledge of suspension, but i swapped out springs with a diy printout in hand. you get that feeling of self accomplishment

I went to put my Vogtland springs on my Fit last night... apparently my parking spot isn't level enough and the jack stand started to lean. So, now I have to wait another two weeks before I have time to take it to my brothers house and do it in his garage. Sucks, I was so pumped about it too. I've had the springs for about a month and a half now, just sitting in my room collecting dust.

I had to abort because it was getting too late. By the time I got the axle back in, it was already 6 PM. So we just put everything back together. Here are notes you might want to take:

1. Try not to let the suspension/axle move at all.
2. If it pops out, try spinning it in a little at a time. Also, make sure you find the right height of the suspension. That's the key to getting it back in. I just wiggled it while changing up the height and it popped in like nothing happened at all.
3. Use an air gun & spring compressors. It'll make your life much easier.

I don't think I have time to do suspension anymore so I'm going to have to take it to the shop.

thanks for the offer, but it'll take forever just to drive to you. Hahaha... for an 18 pack of budlight eh? That's not enough for the both of us though. In that case, I don't think I would be able to drive home without incident cuz it'll take me 20 hrs to be sober again.

are you cheat on your wife and daughter with me? lol! It's ok. My CV boot was damaged recently from an unfortunate event. I put my car in the shop already. I'm going to have them lower the car at the same time. Also, I'm getting a new sway bar arm linkage cuz I dunno how, but I managed to strip that piece. Maybe I'll contact you for future mods.

mm hmmm he did mines! by the way... i scraped the living hell out of my bumper... and i lost a bumper clip in the process... But that doesnt mean i didnt have fun doing so! But that doesnt mean i didnt cry RIGHT when i heard it and when i came out to inspect the horror

But install wise... This car honestly must take the cake for easiest lowering spring install EVERrrrr!!! The only issue i have is that the T1R V1 that i got will prolly be higher in the rear... Which i would not have such a problem with if it wasnt for my lights pointing super down... i know its adjustable but the fogs'll be lower too and i dont want that

Btw thanks for the lightening-quick install gimme! I didnt get yo name cause i sux with names and such.. Sorry... But i thank you for everything and i would def. recommend you all the Fit owners ! Will post pix when (hopefully) the rear sets more
