Good Shop For Coilover Install
Good Shop For Coilover Install
Hey guys, I am going to get a set of Skunk Pro-c coil overs and I was just wondering if any of you could recommend a good shop where I can get them installed around San Diego County. I am too much of a pansy to do it my self, I don't need a wheel to fall of at 80mph or something like that. If there is a shop you have been to that you recommend or you have a friend that works somewhere let me know please. I am willing to dive as far north as Temecula for a good quality shop. The place doesn't need to be top of the line just somewhere where the work quality is good and I wont get screwed over.
Thanks for the help guys!

take it to aerocosmetixx on engineer road by walmart in clairmont mesa
they did my springs for something like 70 bucks...which was pretty crazy (woulda done them myself but didnt have a spring compressor and was a little lazy to buy one for 70 bucks and install them)
did an excellent job in like 2 hours
im sure they won't charge you much, plus they got a lotta cool stuff to look at in the shop (you'll end up spending like 300 bucks on random useless stuff that makes you happy)
the guy's name is vinny
congrats on the coilovers man....i wanted to get those
im sure he'll be happy to install them considering those are the ones he's after
good luck..tell me how it goes

that would be quite the drive for an install.
dude, hang tight until November 9th. There is going to be a wrench meet at PANN auto in SD. A bunch of us are bringing tools and such. I actually have done a set of coilovers on a fit, nothing terrible.
Skunk2, Blitz USA and Tanabe will be there.

Wow thanks for all the info guys! I definatley have lots of options now, the wrench meet sounds like lots of fun to go to but I will have to see if I can get that day off from work. Either way hopefully I will have some new coilovers by christmas!
^ yeah i'll definatley let u know what im going to do, Aerocosmetixx quoted me at about 120 for the install, I am going to put in the order for the coilovers on monday. I cant wait till they get here
^ Yeah I talked to one of the guys on the phone and they said that they would do that for me. I was thinking of dropping it like 1.6 inches in the front and 1.2 or so in the back. I want my car to still be able to go up most steep driveways but I want it to look and preform much better. What do you guys think?
well, tanabe cross threaded his pass side front shock at the top.......so that was 35-40 minutes right there. Then actually installing the c/o's wasn't bad.......it's just the adjusting. oh and the fact his car ate 2 nuts and a washer
. Oh jeeez now im wondering if I paid too much lol... Nah im not gonna worry about it! Im just happy and can't wait till I get them. All you guys were a big help, thanks for all the offers of help and advice. Thats why I hang out here...
