Need help installing Springs

Need help installing Springs

As of now, i dont have jack and jack stands, and was wondering if anyone was willing to help me install these springs, im willing to buy you a 30 pack of Coronas for the help of installing these...so anyone in the socal area or los angeles area having spring knowledge help me out, tofuman had a really good writeup so i know most of the steps, but i dont have the proper tools so i cant get anywhere right now...thanks

if you were closer....i'd help. it's my strong point.

where exactly are you on the install? i have many vouches on spring installs

If you can drive to lake elsinore gimme can install them for you at a cost of $50 bucks. I can vouche that in fact he will be installing my springs this sunday pm him if you want.

gimme (dan) is pretty much the guru of wrench meets. You won't be disappointed with his work.

or, i can just find out where you are on the install itself and kinda guide you through it

kind of like helping someone land a plane with out landing gear

and yes, i helped with umiekun put MY stocks back i his car that i have yet to get back

don't you go there dan . I have 2 sets in my garage just sitting there. Just remind me whenever I head over to your house or a meet that you're attending...they are not going anywhere.

And i think the problem with him doing the install himself is he doesn't have any tools atm.

yea as of now, i have to get a set of jack stands and hydraulic jack, and torque wrench

yea id be down to come out to lake elsinore, one of my fave minor league team are the storm, its a bit of a drive, but i just have to find a way to convince my boss i have a doctors appointment to free up my schedule

lol...everyone's been recommending u, so i kno ur prolly the best at it

these are skunk 2 springs, i hope i wont rub too much, i have 17 inch rims with 205 size tires and 45 offset

you shouldn't have too much rub issues. i know with a 205 and 40 offset, there is rubbage on bump.

yeah, i go to the storm games once in a while. mostly on thirsty thursdays

umm... i have lil bit of suspension knowledge. me and charlie might be able to help ya out. you can just buy us in-n-out or somethin hehe. theres also koolkev that might be able to help out. do you have garage to work on your car? let me know

as of now, no, im living in a apt complex with the sh*ttiest street parking

itd be gangsta doing it on the side of the street, but ppl might think were jacking the car especially with me being one of the few asians on the block in a white neighborhood, id look really suspicious

if u guys could help me out and if you have a garage, i would be down to do that, since ur a bit closer, and get u guys whatever u wanna eat

I have a garage + mucho tools if you wanna drive down to claremont (about 30 miles east of DTLA). I'll have it finished within two hours for 40 bucks I've installed springs/coilovers on the GD3, and did my own suspension work on my M3 and 328is, as well as my cousins. I've also worked on the RSX's suspension, and a VW R32 suspension. I think I'm pretty good with lowering a car

As you can see, you have a lot of options. You're lucky to be in SoCal

hey i think i saw u at the skunk2 garage sale, i was talking to that accordguyintake and you were there too

right now i wanna get help installing these springs but somewhere more local would be good, are u good with spring installs ghettoboy?
