Advice! Just got a BS ticket

So my friend just sold his 06 Civic EX Auto decided to buy a 01 Honda Prelude Type SH Manual. So he doesn't know how to drive manual so I had to drive it home. Apparently, there was a dead headlight and I got pulled over going to his house. I got the ticket 24252a for his car. I am currently 17 and on the ticket it states that I am 18. I have no idea what to do...do I have to get it signed off and still go to court or what? What a horrible weekend -_-

if the police officer filled out false information on the ticket i think that you can fight it and get it written off your record.

my first ticket was in a 1979 toyota celica but the cop wrote that it was an 1989 corolla and the judge ruled it as false evidence and i just had to pay a court fee but it never went on my record.

find a traffic lawyer and ask him and he will tell you what the law will do.

Its no BS ticket. You were driving a car with messed up headlight. This is what you do.

Don't go see a traffic lawyer. All that ticket is a fix-it ticket. Get the headlight fixed get the ticket signed off. Go to the station on the ticket and pay 10$ it does not go on your record and you are as happy as can be.

Yeah relax. It's just a fix-it ticket. All u gotta do is plop a new bulb in, take it over to ANY police station or courthouse (choose the one that you have to pay at, it should be written at the bottom of the ticket) and outside, there should be an area that says "vehicle corrections only." Park it there, go inside to the metal detector and tell the officer that u have to get a ticket signed off. they will come out and see what you got cited for (your burned out headlight). He will tell u to turn on the lights to see if they are working. He will then sign it and tell u "okay go inside to window XX and pay the ticket." It used to be $10 but Anthony said they bumped it to $25 now.

I LOVE how i know the steps. I've gotten many fix it tickets, starting from 16 years old for my first exhaust ticket. I never even informed my parents because it's only a fix-it ticket, not a moving violation. Don't worry, ur in good hands here lol.

yea true. but be sure to get the ticket signed off at a CHP office soo its free. you just show that you corrected the violation and they sign it off. if you sign it off at a court, they'll charge a $15 inspection fee. soo up to you

It is not a big deal. Like everyone mention just get it fix. BTW telling the officer your GPA will not make it any difference.

hmmmm never experience receiving a ticket before
