rofls kev...this has been going on for like about a week now, the store is all out of most things. just to name a few: most 194 lights (LED's and regular), broadway mirrors(280mm-OUT), airfreshners (squash is all out =[..), most motor oil's, clothing, wheels and tires, strut bars(front and rear), etc etc...and thats just at the one in stanton, i havnt been to the one in covina! lol

 

just called to see if they had any Castrol synth blend in stock and they said no, BUT they told me to call back after the 13th cause they should .... they should? wtf? closing down or what?

I looked it up. I found out Autobacs is only filing a Chapter 11. Which means they're re-strategizing their business plans and sold their shares or some crap. Also found out a few Autobacs are likely to close from this, mainly the one at Stanton and Covina. They're not 100% dead as a company yet

 

LOL i soo didn't know that haha. I thought it was new. I was just informed like a couple hours ago. I'm thinkin of goin there 2nite 2 check it out.

yeah they filed a chapter 11, but the owner of autobacs said that they dont want any autobacs in the states. so they are removing all autobacs and only keepin it in JDM land (japan) and what happaned to your reps ya2 user gd3

hopefully we can still meet up at autobacs for the tricity meet. think they are closing for good in about 2weeks time? i could be wrong.

 

yep there closing by the end of the month. i knew abt this lik a month ago.

 

i didn't know they were closing but sh*t, i'm not even surprised. all their crap was at such rip-off prices i don't know anybody who bought anything from them other than broadway mirrors and air fresheners. seems like everybody else just goes to browse, i know that's the only reason i ever go there haha.

they wanted $36 bucks for spc camber bolts the last time i went... first i was like then the dude at the cash register went so i got all then he felt then i told him i'd buy from ebay because i could get it cheaper shipped to my door.. before i walked away i did then got into my Fit and went

 

They have a great selection of Meguiar's paint products! I wish I was around that area so I could stock up!

 

Maybe with those discounts they will match online prices for somethings finally.

 

autobacs is like just any other autozone or pepboys... with over inflated prices.

For once the Covina location was busy. Like willitfit said, most of the good stuff's gone. I went crazy on air fresheners and car wash products. It's still worth a look though, especially with the turn out of cars rolling in too.

 

pretty sad.. no more rice meets there i suppose =P
