I'm relocating to California pretty soon for work. I'm curious if some of you guys could fill me in on how the police are like in regards to tuned cars. I currently have Canadian plates on my car, so I'm curious to see if cops generally ticket cars with a bit of aftermarket support.

Another question I have is how bad are thieves, and other than having an alarm system is there anyway to deter them ?

 

all this depends on where in california you are relocating to.

 

you're going to want to be extra careful if you're moving to socal. if you can, always park your car in a garage and always avoid parking on side streets. invest in a good set of wheel locks to keep the amateur thief away. best of luck

there's a weekly friday meet in Orange County. if you can make it to those you're going to be around good people. i think socal has the friendliest dorks in all of the Fit communities, nationwide. LoL

also it all depends on where you live...but Southern Orange County is pretty safe such as Irvine on down so if you're planing to live any where north of that you better have a garage or put your car on lock down....
