Do people not do the slow down wave on Ortega anymore when there's a cop? Always did when I had my motorcycle.

Or was he just well hidden/coming from behind?

Ok we have to know. Did VTEC kick in? I keep thinking when I leave everyone sitting at the lights someday I am going to get pulled over and asked why the hurry. Hey I never go over the speed limit and I don't smash down on the gas it just happens!

So let me get this straight,..
You waited for him??
I would have pulled into the nearest gas station and "bought something" inside real quick.

There's nowhere to go/hide when you're on Ortega.. it's a two lane mountain road. Might as well pull over and wait. Otherwise, he might think you're trying to evade or try to get you for reckless driving too.

there are a lot of accidents and fatalities that occur regularly on that road. it frequently gets shut down because of accidents. my friend just got a ticket there on friday too. please be careful!

I see. That cop wasn't too cool though (coming from a family line of police officers... that I didn't join, lol) he could've at least written a lower speed.

Road nearly empty and a driver considerate enough to not try and run? I may have even let you go with a stern warning if you weren't doing anything stupid like crossing the double yellow.

Must've been on the straighter sections too to have been tagged at 75, considering how "quick" our cars are, lol. Were you nabbed by the research center (i think it is anyway) towards San Juan or at the top by the Fire Station before the lookout? Or are my guesses completely off?

He probably saw the Honda badge on you car though and figured you were part "Fast and the Furious set" and a ricer that needed to be taught a lesson, lol.

Haven't been on it since they repaved it, is it more boring now? I use to love the fact that it felt like a rally stage with the random dips and undulations; used to pride myself on knowing were they were. Alas, stopped driving/riding on it when on all the construction started.

damn, pilo...you're good! i laid into it right when it said "end 45 zone". He said there was a sign that said 55, but i dont remember. I was hoping i would get a warning because i was honest, but it is what it is...i got busted.

and tricky, i'd love to see what you'd do. Like I said, I coulda had fun the entire rest of the ortega, then i woulda been nabbed at the bottom then faced (i think) Felony charges for fleeing.

wouldnt be fleeing if you don't know if he was going after you.

fleeing is when there is no doubt that you noticed him (eye contact), he was near you with his lights on, etc.

besides, if you do 75 mph then you might as well continue.. he wouldnt know how much faster your going.

on the bottom (considering your a better driver) you would have plenty of time to find a place to hide

have you been to ortega?...at the bottom of ortega there isn't any good hiding spots and it gets kind of crowded with all the traffic lights and stop signs, even if it was only 10am, unless you want to run all those lights and get those tickets and risk crashing your car...this isn't fast and furious...gimme manned up to his mistake and I would have done the same on ortega. And he isn't a bad driver either, just a smart one.

which makes me wonder... Why are you on here anywho?

I know you must love your car ALOT and give it ALOT of credit but patrick, lets face the facts here. We both drive hondas, if that werent bad enough we drive the 2 lowest models the US lineup has to offer.

oh there is one difference tho, our cars (GD Fits) are built 99% Japan
well i think the New fits "GEs" arent 99% tho... they're 100%

Just to add before I leave this thread and not argue on the internet...I love hatchbacks and it is a great daily driver for me so I don't use my weekend cars. A car that is worth around 6k more on msrp doesn't mean anything...now if you had something along the lines of a 335+ BMW or other higher class cars then you can talk about cost, but saying your car is better because it is worth 2x (really 6k not 2x) more than the fit is a stupid statement. Now go VROOM VROOM your expensive car from the cops . THE END.
