Idk personally Ive never been a fan of the military. But some ppl that do decide to go love it. I just dont think the risks are worth the amount of money you get paid.

When someone decides to join the service, the fear of risk & the desire for money need not apply.

I believe that when a person considers joining the service, they choose this route for the the perserverance of the American way; for the freedoms that we have and for the country that we live in. It is to set one's life aside and do as one is told; no questions asked.

Choose wisely and good luck Crash001!

I can't help but say something here. I'll fight for my country anytime I believe in what we're doing. Iraq doesn't qualify, Vietnam doesn't qualify... get along the lines of WWII and I'll be there. The wars of today are wars of foreign interest and I can't stand for that.

Yeah sell all of your stuff forget about the Air Force and see if you have what it takes to be a Marine.... You get good training and learn many efficient ways to kill other human beings in beautiful far away lands and the corporate elite get to make a fortune providing you with not everything you will need to survive.... Don't worry they do a good job of toughing you up enough to go without food water and sleep and you out of anger about being deprived will deprive yourself of ammunition by killing anyone that could remotely be responsible for your torment neglecting to acknowledge you and all around you are just being used up to be discarded and replaced when you are disabled, dead, or have figured out what the hell is going on are creating problems and passed over for promotion, booted out with a less than honorable discharge, facing criminal charges, or maybe even killed..... The last is the best because your mother gets paid the amount of your insurance and receives the title of Gold Star Mother and they will bury you for free.... You really don't want to be a disabled veteran either because the frustration of dealing with the VA has driven many a vet to take his own life and many that chose not to do that just up and died young from stress related illnesses..... Vietnam vets are dying off faster than the veterans of any other war of the last century..... Very few corporations will hire an enlisted combat veteran and if they do it is as a contractor so they don't have to give you benefits like insurance and they can rescind your contract for any reason but it generally has to do with the fact that combat veterans have a wariness about people that are to be recognized as authority figures and mid management toadies are intimidated by the fact wary people are likely to see what chickenshit bullying cowards they are and stomp a mud hole in their ass so those jobs don't last long..... Do something that will benefit society and be a garbage man or work in a mental hospital or with disabled kids..... I saw a lot of people die and it was not for God, Country, or Corps..... It was for the masters of war that sit in corporate board rooms sending lobbyist out with tons of money to buy the influence of politicians and by awarding military contracts to subsidiaries of their corporations that will please constituents that will continue to keep him in office....... War is profitable for the rich elitist bastards that control the largest percentages of the involved corporations, but it isn't healthy for the not so rich young people that actually give up so much supposedly out of love of for the country but in reality they that are involved in combat are doing everything they can to keep from being killed and they die because they were sacrificed for money, The red white and blue piece of fabric would be the last thing on a dying mans mind, but it is still believed to be what U.S.combatants die for or to protect some inexplicable honor that it is in possession of.
