Reputable, Affordable Body Shop

Sigh, so I've only had my 2008 Fit Sport for 2.5 months, and sadly I'm not used to how low she is, so going into a dip, I scratched up the passenger side front fender pretty good.

I've never taken a car in for body work before, but I love my Fit so much, I wanna get this taken care of, so I wanted to ask if any of y'all knew a good, reputable and affordable body shop in the Los Angeles area that might be able to do some work on my fender.

Thanks in advance for the advice and suggestions.

is the paint totally off on it? or is it just scuffed?

if the paint is totally off, depending on how much it is to repair...i can almost guarantee you it will happen again in the future, given the fact the fits are so low

but it seems like its an easy fix for a body shop...it seems like that part is just the front spoiler and not the bumper..so all they have to do is remove that piece.

i am not sure where's a good body shop as I always went back to the dealer for repairs. I actually got my front bumper painted in the past by Longo Toyota...great service and great quality.

Well, it looks grey underneath, so I'm guessing the paint is off. They'd have to take the part off and repaint it? Blerg.

^ i believe so. it looks too big for touch up paint....but you can try? i would suggest buying some touch up paint and try to cover it up that way first..and if it looks like crap, then think about repainting it.

I'm sorry, I'm not familiar with touch up paint. What is that and where can I get it?

touch up paint - you can get it at the dealership...under $20 i believe. its similar to fingernail polish. not sure will it work since your scratch seems pretty big..maybe other people can comment on this

That's way to big to use touch up paint on. Touch up paint from the dealer is in a small bottle with a small brush to use to apply. There's no way that will blend in. Take it to a body shop and they will repaint the whole lip. Yes, they will take the lip off and beside that way you don't have to leave your Fit there at the shop.

Try M1 Autobody in El Monte, CA. I had my Integra painted there a few years back and it's been looking sharp ever since. Ask for Tony or Jack (tell them you're a friend of Lee Z). I believe this is their website: M1 Autobody
