soo fun on sat! I rode in a car that blew up on the track!
Felt like initialD when tak blew his engine. Same sound, same oil dripping after we stopped, and a tow truck came over. I told the driver "Doesn't this feel like initial D?" and he laughed. haha it was really crazy though
6-speed Kia Forte = track monster! 120hp whattt

hey y'all. sorry for the scare! Trust, i had no intention of ending up in the ER sunday night! I am recovering now and I'm seem to be doing okay, just have to "take it easy" and rest up-almost impossible. Thanks to everyone who came out to support, if i wasn't for mike kojima and his godly driving skills and a borrowed mini-cooper, i would've taken 3rd but its okay, i was having a hard enough time trying not to pass out on the track anyways~!
I ended up taking 2nd place in the Enthusiast FWD for the season (yay?) in points and now I can actually relax that the season is over. For everyone who didn't know, I competed the entire season in Redline Time Attack in the Fit with the STOCK MOTOR with just coilovers, exhaust and intake. I had to take off my carbon and aero parts during competition days and was not allowed to run my piggy back ecu in my class. I took 2 3rd place podium finishes, but always finished in the top 5 in every event. My competitors were always Civic Si's, Civic Type R's, Cobalt SS's, Dodge Neon SRT-4's, Acura RSX's, Mini Cooper's-pretty much anything fwd and to be honest, the Fit was a force to be reckoned with. Hopefully my dedication to the stock motor showed you guys that the fit is an awesome platform to modify and can hang with the "big-dawgs" and that you don't need a motor swap/FI to be "fast". I will be attending Grip Day #3 this weekend since it is my bday and anniversary of when I 1st blew up my 1st tranny at Streets of Willow and i encourage everyone to come out! There will be ride-alongs, driving instruction, time-attack on sunday (ae86's and s-chassis only), and i think even a bbq! i'll post up a thread innabit.
O yea, pics and video from fontana will be posted momentarily (*ahem DELUX!!!)
