I m coming to LAX in March---what to do???
There are a number of theme parks for you and your girl to go to like Disney, Magic Mt., and Universal Studios.
There's Hollywood with the Mann Chinese Theatre with all the stars footprints and stars on the sidewalk.
You can take your gf to Rodeo Drive, Beverly Center, The Grove/Farmer Market, and the Americana/Glendale Mall for shopping.
It would be cool if some type of meet can be set up so that we can meet you.

They looked gross, but they tasted delicious. Maybe I was just really hungry?
The cookies were bombskis!
Bob's chilli was bomb too.

Felix69: obviously, you prbly didn't bring your fit down rite? where are you staying at and what is going to be your mode of transportation? renting a car? what do you wana see? usually street meets? car shows? track events? pickup parts for your fit? what do YOU want outa your trip to SOcal that you can't get back in your neck of the woods?
One thing will not get to see any place else in the world is the Magic Castle in the Hollywood Hills. You can only get in there by invitation…this is how you pull it off;
Since you will be a tourist in Hollywood, you will be going to the Grumman’s Mann Chinese Theatre. Across the street (on the other side) are a couple of Magic Shops. Magicians work there. Talk to them, tell them that you are from out of town and would like to impress the GF by taking here to The Castle. If he has extra passes, he’ll give you a pair. If not, another employee will. If not, go to the next shop. This is definitely work the legwork to see once in your life. This is a 4 to 5 star restaurant with magic happening all over the place.
Hint: once you get to foyer, the Magic Words “Open Sesame” opens the secret bookcase into the castle.

-As someone mentioned earlier, Santa Monica pier is pretty cool.
-Getty museum overlooking LA is just amazing.
-If you have a car also try the Anza-Borrego State Wilderness. The drive to there and around there are really cool. Some bits of Star Wars were shot near there.
-Book yourself at a free TV show screening (Price is Right, etc.).
-Go to San Diego.
-Drive down Crenshaw throwing gang signs.
-Drive down the Vincent Thomas bridge in Long Beach doing 150 miles an hour in a yellow Mach 1 Mustang.
-Go find Jerry Bruckheimer and Nicolas Cage and spit on them for making a terrible remake.
That is all.

don't eat chinese food down here... won't compare to richmond/vancouver.
get stuck in real traffic, breathe in real smog.
that should be a nice memory.
it all depends what you are interested in/what you want to look for.
LA has a lot to offer.
