quick question, never been to gmr but i heard that other racers will drive wrecklessly up there while we are cruising, and they drive on our lane and yadayadayada. Are you sure its a good idea, i dont want to get involved with anyone hitting me, i just got out of an accidnet

 

there are stupid drivers everywhere, but i know exactly how you feel. I go up every now and then because I live close by, and I just take it easy. The "racer's" usually go @ night/early morning. There's always normal commuters just out for a drive (like us), not to mention the shooting range patrons and campers that go in the area. Basically what I'm trying to say is its a public road, its a risk, but you can't control the way other people drive I'm more afraid of the CHP that patrols the area, they're just doing their job but that includes busting us along with the idiots

 

it's always been like that at gmr. (and ach, sand, etc) but it's more like that late at night, when all the tuners head up to the top. most fatal accidents happen when runners trekking down gmr collide with morons hauling ass up taking the apex on a blind corner. im not sure how far up you guys are going to go, but if you guys go to the last stretch of GMR leading to the very top where it gets VERY tight and narrow, be careful. s'all you can do, it's a risk going up there, lol.

yeah I wouldn't worry so much about the other drivers at the time we're going. But I'll be leading most likely, so I'll take the risk for you hahaha

I'm super bummed right now... I just checked the forecast and now it says it's going to be raining almost all day tomorrow.

I'm still down for slow, careful cruising!! haha :/

I'm only down because of the rain if not I woulda ran the rife by myself but everyone please keep in mind that there is a good chance of ice later on during the night and by good chance I mean there will be ice and snow you guys shoulda seen me mob up Mt baldy road the whole road was ice I made it when cars/trucks with chains couldent

We shouldn't have any probs we will be up there before it gets bad but it's gonna get to 27 over night

yeahh I got stuck on the snow on the Baldy side on Monday! We won't be taking that road haha. If there's ice or snow on the Glendora side, we'll turn back and just head out for dinner.
