Well,

I hope some of you bought your Fit after March 22 or 20th something like that cause we are all getting around 1000 dollars from Honda Canada to match the Canadian Government. I am getting a bit less than 1000 because I was able to negotiate down so it seems to be dependent on the price you actually paid for the Fit but from what I am getting you should get at least 800 dollars I would think, if not more like 900-1000. This is gonna really help the bills out! Oh you need to sign something at your Honda dealer so call whoever you bought it from for more info!

 

Sliding scale??? Dang. Was hoping for flat $1,000.00. Any link that outlines how this is calculated?

 

Apparently it is actually all through the mail. Sorry for that mistake. I am unsure about the scale, maybe it is actually a flat 1000. Well see I guess once we all start getting stuff in the mail.

 

There shoudl be a double page ad in tomorrow's paper that should provide some details in the itty-bitty fine print at the page bottom or side.

Honda matches federal rebate with own $1,000 incentive

Oh well, if I didn't think it was worth what I paid, I wouldn't have bought it!

 

I guess I lucked out. I bought my Black Sport MT Fit in April 2007 so I qualify. I called the dealer who told me that Honda Canada will be sending me a cheque for $1000.00. Smart money says I should pay down my loan, my inner child tells me I should get some more accessories ..... :-). So far I've got HFP rims, Honda Sport Muffler and 35% tint all around except windshield. I'd like some more goodies. I'll put half on the loan, the other $500.00 to buy accessories. I love my Fit!

 

That's pretty good news indeed. Good on Honda. I've had a couple emails flying back and forth from Transport Canada regarding why the Fit didn't make the list.
