this is from the MSCC rule book:
3.7 - Wheels must be safely affixed. No reversed wheels where the lug bolt taper does not match
the chamfer of the holes. Wheels must have adequate bearing surface against the drum and hub.
Suitable and safe wheel spacers will be allowed. Lug studs must protrude from the lug nuts at
least one complete turn.

With the exception of my a-spec exhaust, my car is bone stock. I might POSSIBLY have lowering springs by then, but it's not certain. Given that, and that well, I've never auto-x before. (Did plenty of off-roading with my old jacked up explorer, which I'd guess would give me zero experience with this, ha) Is an event like this as good a time as any to get some experience under my belt or are there other events elsewhere I should look into geared to novices?
I got the fit knowing it was great on gas but also a compent track performer - given it's popularity as such overseas for so many years. And I'd love to see not only what the car can do but what I can do as well.
How long do these things typically last? I have to bring my girlfriend to Daytona Int'l Airport to catch an evening flight that night...
Just want some experience and looking to learn, so any comments and advice would be great.

For those who are like myself and don't check martins website much. They moved the auto-x to Nov 4th (last sunday) around the end of last month. So the event already happened. We have a few other events we are looking int othis month and will keep people posted.
