Hi all Friday I took the day off and went to the Pittsburgh Auto Show to see some new rides and take pics. I usually go every year with the wife and rug rat, but this time they opted to stay home so I had the whole day to myself, the cars, my camera, and of course my Fit. I just upgraded my camera recently, and this was the first chance I've really had to get familiar with it and put it through it's paces. I took upwards of 200 shots throughout the day, about a third of which I've posted to a gallery on my HP. Unfortunatley, no '09 Fit at the show, but there was an EVO X MR, BMW 128i, GT-R, among the cars worth seeing. I wonder how much a person gets paid to just keep the cars shiny at an event like that.

 

Can't be too much I'd imagine. There were all these little teams of 2-3 guys going around and wiping/dusting them one after another. Didn't seem like very skilled labor and it wasn't like they were particularly energetic about it or showing mad detailing skillz either. The cars were shiny though -- once I went up to the second level where there's some large skylights I had to pull out the polarizer to control the glare or the shots would've had a LOT of hotspots/reflections to make things difficult.
