Pittsburgh AutoX Fit

So im pretty much the only Fit autocrosser in pittsburgh. Nothing too amazing though. I beat out a couple people who are crap drivers, and im not that great, but when I can get 2-3 seconds less on a stock WRX, that is pretty sad for the WRX driver.

Here are two pics someone took of the FIT. As you can see, im in H-stock class. Sad to say that I got 3rd place in Hstock that day. a tiburon V6 and a hyundai sonata beat me by miliseconds.

I dont understand why a V6 coupe is in my class, but i cant say anything about the Sonata. better driver is all I can say.

Here is a video of my last run. nothing fantastic jsut a little fun is all. I mounted my archos helmet cam to my helmet so it is a little shaky.

not really. you want to run around 32 to 34 to attain maximum grip.

Actually, those tires are already sightly over inflated at like 40 lbs and the rears are at 36

looks like your going fast around those corners, the fit is a little tall for the width of the car, is there any roll overs to worry about? if so, whats the speed i should be at for a certain curver [examples please ] (keep in mind my suspension and springs are stock)

Yea I guess it is because you are useing stock suspension and tires right? the side walls are so soft... I'm using Dunlop Direzza Z1 195/55

Because when I race I use 44 psi in the front and 35 psi in the rears... How did you figure 40 and 36?? test any before hand???

Body Roll is the cars angluar movment with respect to the pavement "the parallel"... aka car is not parallel with floor when turning...

Here is the Wikipedia version..
"body roll is a reference to the load transfer of a vehicle towards the outside of a turn. When a vehicle is fitted with a suspension, it works to keep the wheels or tracks in contact with the road, providing grip for the driver of vehicle to control its direction. This suspension is compliant to some degree, allowing the vehicle body, which sits upon the suspension, to lean in the direction of the perceived centrifugal force acting upon the car. Anti-roll bars are a part of the suspension specifically designed to address body roll."

This is also why Fit's and most FWD upgrade only the rear sway bar... Keep the rear planted...

My friends drive Street Prepped or Street Modified Class and told me to do so for my tires. that is all.
