NAIAS Update
Not to worry...at the bottom of the page it states that more introductions will be announced by the manufacturers.
Honda for some reason is being very secretive about the new Fit. I'm sure it will be out for the 2006 auto shows.

The Jazz shown in the photo gallery has turn signals in the side mirrors. The car just looks like all the photos we've seen so far. Hmmmmm, what about Honda saying that the Fit, or Jazz, will be something new?
Its new. It will have a Fit badge instead of a Jazz one. You have got to love marketing.
Motorbike manufacturers are notorious for sticker/graphic upgrades between years. Maybe they are going to start doing it for cars. You get certain colours only available that year.

Note that the turn signal lights are integrated into the headlight housing, and there are no turn signal lights on the front fender or the mirrors like you find in European market or JDM Fit/Jazz models. This is essentially the same setup used on the Mexican-market Fit that went on sale in that country back in October 2005.
It looks like the FIT is specifically listed to show at the NAIAS.

Honda to Unveil Fit
Honda will be bringing an all-new model to North America: the Fit. Making its debut at the North American International Auto Show, the Fit is quite similar to the Honda Jazz sold in Europe. Fit is a small 4-door hatchback reminiscent of the Civic Wagon sold in the U.S. in the late 1980s. Details about the U.S. version of the Fit have not been released, so return here the week of January 8, 2006, for all the information about this newest Honda.
I know I will be checking their site again on the 8th. But it does show how tight lipped Honda is even the show doesnt have the details yet and it is just weeks away.

Other way round I think. Fit Aria from Japan and Honda City in Thailand because you can't buy an Aria in Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore but you can buy a City. Theres also a small station wagon variant in Japan.
