South Bay Area Breakfast Fit Meet-8/27/2011

Anyone interested in getting together for breakfast, and a canyon run?

Hey there DUB9GD3, come if you can...the more the better!
FYI. I PM'd a few people here, and at HondaFitForus as well. So far, besides you, manxman and myself, 4 others are showing interest! We have a possible 7 Fits so far. I sent a PM to Bap, Slimjimx701x, TFBDesgns, and a bunch of PM's to the group of guys and gals that made the Treasure Island Meet, as well as those that made the Santa Cruz Meet.
I am expecting more to join us as the date gets closer, and people are finding out whether they have the date open or not.

Let's start a list of interested Freaks. I'll start the list with:
1-manxman (Dave)
2-macbuddy (Michael)
3-
4-
5-
6-
7-
8-

...SoloDolo, you gonna add your name?

Sounds good! LMK if you want to caravan, I will be passing through that area to get onto 680.

Keep watching for updates. I am trying to update here at Fitfreak, as well as at HondaFitForum. Just in case I miss anything, it might be a good idea to keep an eye at the HFF thread as well:

I am near the downtown & Alameda County Fair Grounds area so for those who live north and east of Pleasanton, maybe we can meet up around there. Or, maybe we can even meet up in Milpitas area so we can get a bigger caravan from the east bay. Suggestion might be to meet at the Great Mall parking lot in front of Fresh Choice / Chipotle? I'm up for any suggestions. Really looking forward to this...thanks guys.

The Afternoon Ride

Okay, this is what I came up with. BTW, I don't recall the exact roads that we traveled here the last time we came, but this route looks interesting enough.
Just so you know, this ride will be 58.4 mi long, and will take about 1 hour 50 mins of driving time, so make sure you have enough fuel. Also keep in mind that I do not recall seeing any rest room opportunities along this route.
Does anyone know of any facilities along this route?

BEGIN RIDE (12:05pm)
222 Mount Hermon Rd, Scotts Valley, CA
  1. Leave Nob Hill Foods via Mt Hermon Road NW to Felton, 2.9 mi
  2. Slight RT onto Graham Hill Road, 0.2 mi
  3. Take the 1st right onto CA-9 N, 14.3 mi
  4. Turn right to stay on CA-9 N, 6.2 mi

REST STOP/PHOTO OP? (~1:00-1:30pm)
37.258395 -122.121492 (GPS)
We will take a rest at the intersection of CA-9 and CA-35

RESUME RIDE (1:30pm)

  1. Turn left out of the parking lot onto CA-35 S/Skyline Blvd, 7.0 mi
  2. Turn right to stay on CA-35 S/Skyline Blvd, 3.3 mi
  3. Turn right onto Bear Creek Rd, 9.2 mi
  4. Turn left onto CA-9 S, 13.2 mi
  5. Turn right to stay on CA-9 S, 0.2 mi
  6. Turn right onto CA-1 N, 0.6 mi
  7. Slight left onto Chestnut Street, 0.2 mi
  8. Turn left onto Laurel St, 0.1 mi
  9. Continue onto Chestnut St, 0.4 mi
  10. Take the 2nd right onto Center St, 0.3 mi
  11. At the traffic circle, take the 2nd exit onto Pacific Ave, 0.2 mi
  12. urn left onto Beach St, 0.3 mi
