Anyone in the Dublin,CA area interested in a mini meet at Starbucks this Friday night at 9pm? So far Konig_Feather, Solodolo, TPColgett and I are confirmed to be there. For those not familiar with the area, Starbucks is located at Hacienda Crossings. Konig_Feather will supply us with the details...I hope.

Hey Wanderer, welcome to Nor Cal. Is the photo of the blue datsun in profile yours? Looks sweet!

FYI, there is a tantative fit meet scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 4 by "Eyefone" for a nice drive through the hills from Fairfield to Vacaville via Lake Berryessa. You can find this on the events forum.

Also, during this Friday evening mini meet at Starbucks, we'll be discussing possible fit meet to caravan to Wekfest 4 which will be hosted by Weksos at Fort Mason in San Francisco on Sunday, Feb. 19, 2012. The event is from 1pm to 6pm but we'll probably head up earlier. If the weather cooperates, I may suggest even a BBQ at Fort Mason Green or the Marina Green which are grassy parks next to Fort Mason.

BURGER TIME
The mini meet dinner was supposed to start at 8:30 pm. This was to include 5 dudes, driving 5 Fits, to meet at "5 Guys Restaurant." That didn't quite happen as planned. Instead, we ended up at "5 Guys Restaurant," with 6 Fits, 5 Dudes and 1 Lady!
We all arrived at the same time, but mall parking was sparse. Eventually, we all got our Burgers.


THE FIT DRIVERS
The 5 Fit drivers were Konig_Feather, TPColgett, DoYouFit?, EXWRX and myself. Lady Annie was the driver of the 6th Fit.



After dinner, we went next door to Starbucks. We ordered our favorite beverage for dessert, and kicked it there waiting for SoloDolo. Around 11:00, we decided to do our photo shoot without him. Finally, at 11:45, we agreed that we had waited long enough. It was time for the "Midnight Run."

REDWOOD ROAD
The route that we took was a 12 mile stretch that contained a constant series of tight turns that undulated throughout the hillside. We cruised at a pace that was comfortable, yet brisk enough to generate just the right amount of lateral G's to keep us happy! I can probably best compare this run to "Space Mountain," except that this ride was 20 minutes long!

PHOTO SHOOT #2
At the end of our run, we parked our Fits for a second photo shoot. After about 15 minutes picture taking, we were joined by yet another car. This one was black and white. We were asked to disband, since it was past Oakland's 10:00 Curfew. We hastily said our good-byes, jumped into our cars, and efficiently disbursed.
