So what to expect out of a 2010 5speed Fit 1/4?

Only mods being powershifting and CAI what do these things run?

Some locals and are are having a "beater" night at the local track and im really hoping to run a 16 or 17 second 1/4 mile.

Here is what i usually race but i got the boot from the track until i do a cage.

The Fit is more of a b spec car if anything. Its light rigid chassis gives it good turn in and handling but its 1.5L engine means no torque of the line. 17.5 1/4 mile probably.

I think the Fit is fast for what it is. That 1.5L works hard as hell while still giving up good mpg figures and putting a smile on your face.

Based on what I have seen if you catch good conditions that night and can muster a decent short time you should be in the low 17s.

Powershifting may not net much since the clutch delay valve will probably do a good job of negating it.

That's about right for a GE. Ranges from low 17s to lowish 16s stock. Nice run regardless. Most people don't get near the magazine numbers.

Were you shifting at redline, or a bit earlier. Nice run!

4 hours and 1 run? That is quite pathetic really. I'm not into drag racing, just doesn't do it for me, but with that kind of return on time spent, I would completely dislike this form of motorsport.

Keep chugging away and see how much more you can knock off that time.

Damn 4 hours to go 1/4 mile. You could have auto crossed to your hearts content in that period of time. I too dont understand the allure of drag acing either. i love to turn

I guess i need to go back with some weight removed and see what i can do lol.

After running my other car a few weeks ago i can't take it back until i get a cage so i might as well have some other fun.

I only took mine down the strip 3 times this year... 2 out of 3 i had bad launches. my last run was my 16.3 and my front end was hopping when i launched. I am pretty sure i can run high 15's this year with better launches. my ultimate goal is low 13's, but that is not until atleast another year or two...

Ah makes sense, that's a lot of weight to shed. Nonetheless, that's a good time and it's good to see shane run 16.7 in stock trim. I think pretty impressive for 2600lb 110 hp car.
