We'll meet Sat 7/29 at 11 am at the Safeway in Saratoga near the combination intersection of:
Saratoga-Sunnyvale Road (named De Anza further north)/ Saratoga Ave/ Los Gatos-Saratoga Road (Hwy 9 "east" of the intersection) and/ Big Basin Way (Hwy 9 "west" of the intersection-- the direction we'll use to go up into the Santa Cruz Mountains for lunch at Alice's Restaurant.

In addition to those of us with Fits to compare cars & "talk Fit", it would also be a good chance for those waiting for their Fits to see ours in person prior to delivery of their new cars. Hope others can join up with Stacey, Bill & Howie (Buttahball)-- we need to catch up to the SoCal folks!

I went to the race last year-- way too hot, crowded & noisy; this year I'll go to the ALMS race at Laguna Seca on Oct 21st for the same gen-admin fee. Let me know later if this year's SJGP was any good.

Well, the meet was a "limited" success-- no one else showed up at the Safeway on Saratoga-Sunnyvale Rd by 11:15, so I did the fun mountain drive by myself, and had a good time: talked with an exotic sportscar group, ate with the motorcyclists at Alice's Restaurant, and even saw my first Fit on the road since buying mine two months ago-- and it was a white base one just like mine!

 

Bill L ....Sorry to here that u were the only one there, I live in San Jose and just barely got my car last week. Maybe i will see you around. I drive a white sports fit. There is a Red sports in my neighborhood but only seen the guy twice on the road.

 

Thanks for the note. I'm okay with things & we'll see what the future brings-- the main thing is to have fun in our Fits, alone or together!

 

Sorry about that man, had alot of things going on yesterday. Maybe we can try something like this again, w/o a fun drive. A bbq would be cool, and what not as well.
