WHY is HellaFit doing this?
To meet new auto enthusiasts who enjoys automobiles, BBQ, and the beach.

WHO is welcome to join?
All auto enthusiasts welcome! This is a Family friendly Event!

WHEN will this take place?
Saturday, June 29 (9am - 6pm)

WHERE will we be meeting?
9:00 AM - The Neighborhood Church (20600 John Drive, Castro Valley, CA 94546) *** changed meet location from McDonald's to accomodate 20+ cars we're expecting at this first location...
10:00 AM - St. Andrew's Episcopal Church (13601 Saratoga Avenue Saratoga, CA 95070)
11:30 AM - San Lorenzo Valley High School (7105 Hwy 9, Felton, CA)
12:15 PM - Natural Bridges State Beach (2531 W Cliff Dr, Santa Cruz, CA)

*** For the safety of everyone and to ensure we all stick together through out the caravan, it's very Important that you study the map & directions on following link prior to the day of the caravan. Having GPS will be helpful if you get lost but please note the route we are taking is not consistent with GPS directions ***

Although we will be driving in a single caravan, there will be 4 to 5 group leaders leading a group of 3-4 drivers which should make it easier for those who are following. This will be especially helpful when we get split up at signal lights and such.
Please note: additional driving details will be handed out at the day of the event.

WHAT will we be doing?
1) Caravan to Santa Cruz
3) Taking lots of photos
4) BBQ Potluck at the beach (please list what you will be bringing) in facebook or FitFreak.net
5) Playing games & win prizes
6) Making new friends and have fun in the sun & the beach

Items recommended to bring:
food or drinks for the bbq, sun block, sun glasses, hats, slippers or flip flops, sweatshirts, swimsuits (if you want to test the waters), beach towels, beach chairs, beach umbrellas, etc...

HOW will you be rewarded?
Just like last summer's meet at Mt. Diablo and Walnut Creek, we have awards for 10 different categories. We want people to come out, have fun and meet up; share stories and show their personal rides. Awards will go out to the following:

- 2 secret categories.
- Best Fishbowl Award (Best looking car without tint.)
- Most HellaFit (the best of show)
- Most HellaStock
- Farthest Travelled
- Best GD
- Best GE
- Hella Un-Fit (was "Best Non-Fit")
- Best Lady-Fit
- Best Interior

Our typical initial meet up spot for most events is the McDonalds off the Strobridge exit of the 580 in Castro Valley. Address should be 16552 E 14th St, Ashland, CA

We are looking to make this a BIG event for NorCal Fits, but ALL cars and car people are welcome!!!

The drive through hwy 9 will be a twist. Athough we may want to brisk through it, we want to go at a pace where it is safe for everyone and their cargo (food) from spilling or w/e. Plus, we have a considerable amount of cars so our pack will be long.

Please put your name down and what food item you will bring, so that way we don't end up eating bags of chips everyone brought Drinks too! Utensils, hardware, grills, etc.

There are two meet-up locations along the route to Santa Cruz, so please put down where you plan to meet (Castro Valley, Saratoga). Or, if it's more convenient for you and don't want to drive through hwy 9 for whatever reason, you can meet us in Santa Cruz.

How long will u guys stay out in SC? I wont be leaving San Leandro until 2 and I really wanna make this.

 

Idk...think we'll take our time with this. Everyone's taking the time to come out, all the way to Santa Cruz. The drive, the traffic, getting situated and set up. Preparation, cooking, eating, fun and games, photos, awards, chill, beach. I think we may be there at least till 5 or 6pm. And I think some of us may stay in the area cuz there's an AutoX the next day in the Monterey area.

 

Feel free to drop by when you are finished in San Leandro. I suggest you take 880 South (turns into hwy 17 in Los Gatos area) all the way to Santa Cruz rather than taking hwy 9. It will be much faster. Send me your cell phone # via PM so we can keep in tough via text / phone...

Since it seems we'll have a fairly lengthy caravan, we'll assign a few group leaders (ex. Group A, B, C, D, etc...) who are familiar with the drive to lead 4-5 others within the caravan so the caravan will be much more manageable.
