Carolina fits. Where you all at?
I thought about it but im not sure yet. I havent been to an auto x yet so im not sure if i want to drive 3 hours to go try it. I talked to some of the local guys and they were going to find out for me some info on how i would get classed seeing i have springs, intake, and header. If i get bumped into anything but the lowest level i will probably get smoked. haha.

STS is a slow-ish class because it only allows street tires and limited engine mods...with the all season tires, i've been able to get within a second of the average drivers. more than 3 secs of the best STS drivers though...i'm hoping that with these new dunlops I can get closer to them.
i'll be there aug 9th/10th
doubt i will be there aug 16th/17th unless someone really knows how to convince me.

springs/intake/headers puts you in STS (street touring s) assuming you have 140 treadwear tires or higher. you might want to get some shocks if you can find any...

Well im running the oe tires still and to be honest with you they are near replacing but with me leaving soon there is no point to change them till i get back. Im not really looking to be all that competitive i just dont want to get laughed out of the place. Honestly do you think its worth it for a first timer like myself? Whats your honest opinion.
You can wait for early next year(march probably) where there will be a novice school and you get lots of seat time and a personal instructor for the day, and an event to test your skills the next day.
THSCC has a site in greenville(closer to new bern i think), next event there will probably be next year...

your first autox will be the awesomest experience. i still remember mine some two years ago in my bro's corolla. If you don't want to drive 3 hrs to an autox (i wouldn't, 2 hrs max for me) i would wait for one that's closer...but i'm not sure what sites are close to you. I can't really be the judge for you...it is 3 hrs of driving for 4 minutes of competition...so you can see if that's worth it for you. As for other drivers...there will definitely be drivers that are slower than you. There will be people there to help you, ride with you, give you tips (i can be one of them). No matter what, you will have a great time.

yoooo... jdjohnson... kevin called me earlier and was askin me where to meet up... we decided for that me and him, since itll be in the fayettenamm, that bryan honda off raeford road cuz its about 20 mins from both of us... im not sure what yall have worked out.. but he said hed call you tomorrow with directions and stuff... cuz his gf has his weiner on lock tonight haha
im in fayyetnamm now with chrstleface. just wanted to pop on real quick and see if anyone else was gonna make it besides myself, her, kevin, and brian. if anyone in the area is on and thinking about it we are gonna meet at bryan honda at 2 this afternoon. it should be a pretty good time. well as long as the rain stops for a bit. haha.
Well the meet yesterday was a lot of fun and i want to thank Kevin, Brian, and Chrystle for meeting up and actually getting something together. haha. Yes it was only 4 cars but it was still a great time and i cant wait for everyone to post there pics. It did rain alot but it didnt stop us from having a great time. Thanks again guys
Nice to meet you adam. haha. Well it was only 4 cars so it wasnt a huge meet or anything. I take it you probably already know Kevin and Brian then? I might make it back down there before i leave but im not sure. Welcome to the site and hopefully we can get anouther meet going on here soon.
That really sucks you missed the meet. We went to South of the Border and screwed around most of the day. I almost had a buddy drive my other Fit just so we would have had a better turn out. haha. Kevin tried to call sammi but he lost the number. haha. Im gonna have to make anouther run down there one of these upcoming weekends. Hopefully Kevins car will be running better. He had a bunch of problems with his SC the whole damn day
You would have to speak with Kevin to actually understand what he has been dealing with on it. I dont know whats going on with it. It runs fine for a bit and then randomly starts running bad and then it dies. Sometimes he gets a CEL and sometimes he doesnt. Its pretty wierd. I wanted to drive it until he started having the issues and then i figured its best to wait till the bugs are worked out.
well my last car (98 integra) was SLAMMED on some skunk2 coil overs, and it looked awesome but rode pretty harsh so i'm wanting something that'll ride nice but also look good, i'm probally gonna ride on the stockies for a while cuz i like how they look. brian has the skunk2 springs and they look decent but IMO the back is a little too high. is there any spring you know of with a little more of a drop on the back?
