My project 09 Fit

I ordered my Fit November 25th 08. I started ordering parts for it before i had even got it....I thought If i had all my parts payed for and ready to install I would be able to by more stuff over a longer period of time....warning ....never order parts till you can see what you have and do your homework first...I bought this Skunk2 cat back and was told it would fit my 09 fit...it did no so if any one wants to buy it and is local it works on the 06 - 08 fits only...
200$ and its yours I will even help you put it on if you want...hit me up on here....on to the next part.....

Today i had to address a problem i have been having....i drive to work early in the o-dark morning and i use my headlight like most people do...but i noticed a few problems with the fit....first that lawn mower battery is to dam small for the needs of that car....the lights dim every time the cooling fan comes on...and every time i would hit a bump in the road i would lose sight of the road cus the headlights would bounce down like i was riding my motor cycle....so i Re aimed the headlights and fog lights so i can see and it makes a a big improvement....then i replaced the small battery with a nice red top dry cell from Optima....that should take care of the dimming and the bounce.....i will be ready for the HID kit and the JDM yellow fog lights i just got of ebay yesterday....i will take a night time pic of them once there in....I also painted my calipers red today...

I think it makes a difference. my lights dont dim when my cooling fans turn on and my lights are brighter and now i can add a sub and amp and not worry if the lawn-mower batt that was in there before can handle the power drain....now i had a red top from my last car that was only a month or 2 old so i made it fit ,but they make one with a yellow top that is made for hondas. get that one and there will be no problem or mods needed to put it in....

Looking Good...

Your car is looking good. About the battery, I agree, that is a small battery for the car. Mines went out at 17k, I had to wait about 1 1/2 wks before I could get a new one since it was under warranty. By the way that tint look good!!

installed a new custom cold air intake. I found out that the change in the fits engine was the addition of the 06-08 civic with the 1.8 intake manifold, throttle body and the use of the MAP sensor. so i order an cold air intake off ebay for the 06-08 civic 1.8 . cut it to fit.
it only cost me 70 bucks

Cool

So far the tanabe drop spings have been great on the highway and around town. But I may start getting into time Atack races,(if i can find some in my tri-state area) I would then look into coilover setup. but for now I am happy with the ride, I was blown away by the extra power the cold air intake made, I would not have thought on a 1.5 i would be able to feel the diff that I did. I am going to order the HKS HIgh Power exehuast this week. and see how it sounds and feels after that. I had the high power on my gs400 and I loved them, so When i saw that honda tuning put one on there Fit I knew I would do the same. They just came out with a Turbo kit for the 06-08 Fits , if they make one for mine, I know that I will be saving up for that next.

Hey Man, Your welcome to come by the mall and listen to mine. I have the HKS exhaust on it. Oh yeah, sorry if I seemed a little offstandish the other day when you came by my office. I was having a REALLY bad day with applicant processing.

HID install

The 6300K HID head lights look great but they did not plug and play as the box said but with a simple high beam low beam wire switch. They are bright and look great. The fog Lights 4200k JDM yellow did plug and play and look great after a little re-aim. The JDM front license plate bracket and JDM plate are a nice touch as well. Was one of my first Mods but for got to post. Next is squeezing 8 orange Neons under this little cart. I will keep you posted on that and the other mugen JDM goodies i just won off Ebay.
