License plate relocator (tow hook area)

I saw these for G35, 350z and such. thought it might be useful for those in Cali and other states that require front plates.

http://www.stillen.com/product_files...e_Brackets.pdf

it screws into the tow hook hole. I have a feeling though that it might cover up the fog light.

Nice idea, but too much cost and bother. You can find both plastic and metal license plate relocator mounts on eBay Motors for about $7.00 plus rip off shipping of $11.00 via USPS.

U can buy onhe from ebay for <$25 or get the overpriced one from passwordjdm.com. I bought the overpriced one loll but it turns out lookin tight. Check out the sig.

I guess that you did not read my post. The eBay relocators are $7.00 plus shipping, and my license plate is exactly where yours is, except that I didn't cover up the air inlet next to the fog light as you did.

I only restated the price because they have come down during the time that I was considering buying mine, and I thought that maybe your photo gave the wrong impression of the actual position of your plate. When I first started looking at ways to move my plate (because it was removing the paint from the bumper from wind rattling the plate against the paint), it was last year and the ads on eBay for the plate brackets were around $19.95 or so. I got mine a month ago and was surprised to see that all of the ads, whether for aluminum or plastic, were for the same price.

I'm not hammering on you Kevin- just trying to give complete info. for the guy who originally asked the question.

people, just buy flexable metal L brackets and use the stock mounts with a bolt running through them to hold it in place. I wanted to mount it so the plate doesn't touch any paint so it doesn't mess it up. I used wing nuts so i can take off the plate when i wanna look illegal lol.

It's mounted where the stock plate should be but upside down. Cost 4 or 5 bucks for everything.

It took a long time before I noticed how bad the factory plate holder was rubbing the bumper. It took off a huge chunk of paint. I relocated the plate to the tow hook. If I need a respray anyway, should I get an aftermarket front bumper? Any recommendations?

i never like the idea of moving the plates to the side
it just looks out of place.
reason why some ppl do it cuz of the Intercooler, it will restrict flow to FMIC if the plate is in the front, so they move it to the side.
other wise theres no point'

Yeah, mine has a big strip of paint rubbed off from the bumper as a result of the stock setup (I assume it's the stock mounting bracket, at least). So I won't be moving my plate anytime soon, I don't feel like getting the bumper repainted.

Not that I have any burning desire to move the plate around, front & center works fine for me.

H-Fit.com ...Products for your GD3 / GD4 / GE8 Honda Fit...
H-Fit - Honda Fit License Plate Relocation Kit
GD3/GD4/(GE8-SOON!)

H-Fit.com knows the needs for the daily driver in their modified cars. We've been pulled over twice in a week for not displaying our front license plate. No more! Because this mounts onto your front factory tow hook position, no drilled holes are required. Instead of mounting on the lower grill, the front license plate is positioned higher, allowing more air flow to the radiator or front mount intercooler. H-Fit engineered the mounting plate to allow adjustability of the height and tilt for your own preference. Included in this kit are all the necessary parts required, including hardware and the black anodized aluminum mouting plate laser etched with the H-Fit.com logo. Sure you won't be able to see the logo behind the plate, but we'll both know! Also in this kit, we are including 2 license plate frames for your front AND rear license plate. WE <3 OUR FITS!

Proudly Made in U.S.A.
