Your wish is granted...
YouTube - Smart with Hayabusa engine
That just looks like CRAZY fun!
of course this ends up making the Smart into a single seat vehicle but it looks hilariously amusing.

Hmm...
FIT or Smart? (another topic)
Fit's poor rear crash rating at IIHS
I'm not personally invested to this conversation. I no longer own a smart, and I didn't buy a Fit to replace the smart (I got something I would like instead).

Peace!
Hey guys,
Sorry we gave each other a poor first impression. The reality is that we have a lot in common with our passion for smaller, sensible vehicles.
Maybe some of you would like to come out to a track day we are putting on out in Pitt Meadows (BC - lower mainland)? It's a good deal, and we have 11 spots open at the moment.
Hi Spinner, hi Illusive!
Cheers,
CsC Gent

Yeah my apologies if it seems like this thread seems like Fit VS Smart, I mostly posted it up because somebody forwarded me the link to the Smart forum and then asked me if my Fit was made in China.... Which it is NOT!! :p
It just seemed to me that that Smart thread was slamming the fit without even knowing the facts, I am still trying to figure out how big that guy was who couldn't "Fit into the Fit". I have some big & tall friends who praise the fit both for the front and back seat space.
You guys track your Smarts! Are you doing Autocross or Road courses? I would come, but I live way too far away

I haven't met Duck, but he has said that his legs are fairly long. One of the oddities about the smart is just how much space the driver's side has. I have a friend that is 6'7, a former Romanian basketball player - he normally drives older domestics because it is easy for him to remount the tracks and get the space he needs to drive. He was able to drive my ForTwo - something he normally can't do safely with most new vehicles.
He did look pretty funny in there though. :D
The track day details:
The facility is about 500' x 1000' in size and is runway quality asphalt. The training facility is often used by BMW, and they have a website at British Columbia (BC) Driving Centre ::. I'm heading over there this Sunday to test drive the new 1 series BMW that's coming out.
The program for us is up to 24 people, and it'll run from 08:30 - 16:00 or so, with handbooks for all participants for $3250 (~$140 each). It includes 4 - 5 Driving Unlimited instructors and qualifies each of the participants for a 10% discount on their collision portion of their insurance for 5 years if they are insured with Canadian Direct Insurance. We would do a variety of training exercises including vision slalom, braking, collision avoidance, lane change etc..."
So we aren't doing timed laps, but it is a great way to learn the limits of our vehicles and get the most fun out of them. We'll also have a side event for those people that are more "Show than Go". That will probably be low-key though - more of a tailgate party really. In the past I put on some bigger shows at River Rock Casino Resort with trophies, prizes and a buffet; however, this one is going to be more low key.

I am in the same boat as Illusive. Going down to Vancouver even for a weekend is pretty costly. Just between fuel, restaurant and hotel costs that is a lot of dough.

Yeah, I understand completely. The shows we held previously were at least at a resort. This one is kinda in the boonies.
Note: there are actually 10 spots left. I accidently counted someone twice.
