2008 Fit Misfire

Hello friends,

Writing to you from a small city in Ohio. It seems that 7 counties in this state require E-checks and we are one. I have until December to figure out how to make my fit pass.

Last year I started having Cylinder misfires. I replaced all 4 coil packs with these
Amazon Amazon

I also replaced the sparks with generics. Just stopped at the E-check station today and I'm sitting with these error's

P0172 Rear Bank (bank1) fuel System too rich
P0301 Misfire No.1 Cyldern
P0303 Misfire No.3 Cylnder
P0300 Random Misfire
p0304 misfire No.4 Cylinder
P0302 misfire No.2 Cylinder
p0301 misfire No.1 Cylinder

Curious on what your thoughts are on this? Should I have gone with a less generic coil pack? Could it be The valve Gasket only?

Thanks in advance

Jason

ONLY Denso or NGK and ONLY iridium for the plugs.

ONLY Denso or Hitachi for the coils.

Stick with those and you'll never had an ignition related issue with a GD or GE Fit.

How many miles since the last valve adjustment? They are due every 60k miles or so on a 2008 GD Fit. Out of adjustment valves can also cause misfires. Can also, eventually, cause the valve seats and guides to fail.

I had the same issues and reset the valve clearances (you can do it yourself with the right tools and an afternoon - look on this forum or youtube). Now I now longer get the error codes.
