I will pay you $100 per hour (or slightly more) I just want to be present and I haven’t found a shop that will let me take part in the repair in any way.

As a matter of fact neither of the highly rated repair shops in my area want the job. The most highly rated - Fletcher’s Auto Repair - told me it’s too big of a job because they have to remove the header which will take at least four hours.

Needless to say I don’t know who I can trust, because that sounds crazy to hear coming from an auto repair shop.

I’m in the Putney Vermont area, but I can travel to neighboring states, I will drive up to ~10 hours away so Anyone in the following states:

Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Virginia, West Virginia, New York, Maryland, New Jersey, maybe even Ohio or North Carolina.

It does not have to be right away but the sooner the better I suppose.

Thanks!

What year is your Fit? On the 2nd gens you should not have to remove the intake or exhaust manifold. I'd assume the other generations are similar.

i have the 2008 fit.
i am doing the valve job on my own as my first ever car work. You have to take off the plastic parts of the intake manifold but you can leave the aluminum "header" on.
