Help with Front Strut Bar

I ordered a front strut bar from e-bay. I installed it like all other strut bars I have installed. I raised the car, tightened the bolts, then went for a spin. I could here a knocking sound. It was the strut bar making contact with the top of the throttle body. I have seen pictures of this strut bar installed and I can't understand why it's doing that. Please help if anyone can. thanks.

There are several different designs of front strut bars available from Ebay vendors. the one that you bought obviously does not have the necessary curve in the bow of the bar to keep it from contact with the throttle body during normal backward movement of the engine as a result of torque. That is what the cheap prices on Ebay can get you- bad quality and probably no ability to return it for credit.

Sorry, man.
