Auto Dimming mirror

Just put this guy in tonight:


Its OEM Honda part, I think its intended use was for a TL.

Is it new or junkyard?

Reason I'm asking is, older TLs (like our '99) had the Donelson mirror which failed after a few years. They contained mercury or something...so Donelson will exchange it with a brand new one FOR FREE. (You need the VIN of the donor car, though.)

silly question...but here goes anyway....
what is that white boxy looking thing with what looks to be a blue
readout? Is it like a temp thingy and compas? Or bandaid dispencer? hahaha, just curious (please dont tell me it has to do with the mirror.. )

looks like a fast track electronic toll collector. at least thats how they look in san fran.

btw, nice upgrade! now you dont have to flip a little button!

how much heavier is the new mirror opposed to the original?

The auto dim mirrors are a few ounces heavier than the non-powered variety.

Not enough weight to constitute a rollover hazard....
