Homemade techniques to popping small dent?

Anyone know any tricks or methods of getting rid of a small dent (very small, nonexistent unless you look from the side in the light)? The lawn mower was in the way so I kicked it and the backend whipped around and hit my door.

Got a bad ding a month after getting the my car, so I was too chicken to try this. Just brought it to the shop and paid $100 instead. But try these:

Remove car dents quickly and cheaply. | Wise Bread

Nice. How big was your dent? Wonder if this would work on door dings too.

Your dent was removed using the "wise bread" technique? I in no way am trying to be critical just wish to add to my arsenal of options when the the inevitable dings occur. The cheaper the option the better.

Did that technique do anything to the finish? That would be my only worry.

Those technics work on bigger dents, not small dings. Difference between a dent and a ding. A dent is much weaker on the sheetmetal and can be popped out by hitting it softly with your fist or palm of your hand. The ding is much stronger and would need to be pulled out or hammered out from inside out. They do sell the ones where you put glue, those do work, you just have to hammer the small pimple that comes out when you use those. Other than that, call your local Paintless dent removal specialist and they can pop out a ding by massaging it out.
